    FAN Goes Green

  • ART AT THE FESTIVAL

Eco Fest 2008 will feature an art exhibition at the Town Hall Auditorium that seeks to visually demonstrate the themes of sustainability and to engage viewers in rethinking their ideas about art materials.

    Re-Create

Re-Create will feature children's artwork created from recycled objects.

If your child would like to submit a piece of art to be displayed at the exhibition, you may drop it off at FAN’s Wednesday Playgroup, at the First Congregation Church in the Tucker Room (2nd floor) anytime between 10:00 am to 11:30 am starting September 17th. Deadline for submission is October 15th.

On October 8th The Family Action Network will also facilitate the making of a craft activity using recycled materials during its Wednesday Playgroup at the First Congregation Church in the Tucker Room (2nd floor) from 10:00 am to 11:30 am.

    Call for Artists

The Eco Festival is expected to attract over 1,500 attendees. We will be publicizing the exhibition though our press releases that are being sent out to local and greater Boston media outlets. We will also be promoting the art exhibit within our Eco Festival brochure that will be distributed town wide through several channels, such as through the Winchester School System. It will also be included within the Eco Festival program to be distributed on the day. For more information about how the Eco Festival will be publicized, we invite you to view our sponsor benefits page.

Artists will be invited to sell their displayed art, and will be invited to keep all proceeds.

All artists must download the Exhibitor Information Form and return it to the address listed on the form by Oct 1. No fee will be charged to art exhibitors.

Space is on a first come first served basis and we will notify you if we are not able to accommodate your exhibit this year.

All artists will be expected to set up and take down their own art and provide their own table or display. Please indicate on your exhibitor form a description of the art you will be presenting as you would like it to appear on the website, (including how it relates to the theme of sustainability).

Set up will be the day of the festival between 8 and 9:15, all artists are asked to have their area ready by the 9:30 start of the festival.
