WE GIVE THANKS We would like to take the opportunity to give thanks to the numerous people and organizations who dedicated their time, effort and energy to make Winchester’s First Annual Eco Festival such a remarkable success. This environmental festival was free to the public, thanks to the support of corporations such as Whole Foods Market, National Grid, REI, Boston Green Realty, Boston Organics, EFI, Nexamp and LL Bean, as well as by the support of local businesses including Carole’s Kitchen and Bath, GerrityStone, Local Hero Tech Support, Boston Tree Preservation, Moriarty & Berty General Dentistry, Pywell Contracting Services, the Anderson Team Realtors, and Katherine Waters-Clark, Realtor. We also were honored to receive a generous grant from The ENKA Society. We admire the commitment given by the volunteers of the numerous non-profit organizations and town agencies and local businesses who signed on to be our exhibitors in order to help our community learn and grow more sustainable together. The Winchester’s Artist's Network graciously lent thier expertise to help shape our Eco Fest Art Exhibit, and Go Green Waste Services were a tremendous help in coordinating the recycling area on the day. The Computer Café, Leina’s and The Winchester Rotary Club were instrumental in organizing the computer, Cradles to Crayons and Mission of Deeds recycling collections. There were those who worked selflessly behind the scenes orchestrating the planning of the event. There were town employees who provided the support and assistance that helped us navigate through this new endeavor and we would like to especially thank Mel Kleckner, Town Manager, Mary Ellen Lannon, Town Clerk, and Norman Doucette, DPW for their tremendous support and assistance. We appreciated the mentorship provided by the Town Day Planning Committee and the opportunity to collaborate with the Winchester Rotary Club. We offer a heartfelt thank you to our volunteers from the community at large as well from as from our Family Action Network and Sustainable Winchester membership. This day would have been impossible to implement if it weren't for the generous donation of your time and energy. Lastly, to our fellow members of our Eco Festival planning committee: Andrea Cox, Josh Dobbelaar, Sarah Ferguson, Kimberly Higgins, Amy Iger, Susan Irvine, John Kilborne, Tara McCarthy, Megan Turnas, Laura Turenne, and Fred Yen: It has been a pleasure working with you and this event was truly a reflection of the incredible dedication you gave to this project. With warmest regards,
