Children's Events

Kimberly Higgins, Chair

Produces our exciting family events including: Families and Fire trucks, Town Day Olympics, Musical Petting Zoo, Valentine’s Day Crafts, Holiday Party, and Barnyard Babies.

Community Connection

Shelley Ayervais, Chair

Organizes collections of charitable donations at FAN events and plans family projects to help teach our children the importance of giving back to the community.

Fundraising

Andrea Cox, Chair

Maintain and seek new relationships with advertisers and sponsors.

Membership

Laura Steenburgh, Chair

Welcomes new FAN members, provides hospitality to those in need, and complies our annual Best of Winchester Resource Guide and Membership directory. Coordinate volunteers, maintain FAN’s membership database, and oversee our membership renewal process.

Newsletter

Jennifer Bradford, Chair

Publishes six newsletters a year providing information and resources to our members. This includes featured story topics as well as a comprehensive listing of events organized by FAN, the library, and around our town.

Parent Events

Heather Mango, Chair

Plans events geared towards parents' interests, including Girls Nights Outs, and book talks. Produces our signature event: the FAN preschool fair and survey.

Playgroups

Sara Brown, Chair

Runs our Flagship playgroup, held Wednesday mornings at the First Congregational Church. Also organizes FAN’s in-home, age-based small playgroups as well a playgroup for 3-4-5 year olds that is held in homes or at playgrounds as weather permits.

Publicity

Maura Fredey, Chair

Disseminates event information to various outlets (i.e. flyers around town and press releases to local newspapers).

Technology

Maintain and moderate BigTent group, update the website, and archive past newsletters and member recommendations.
