Letter From FAN's Co-Presidents

We hope you enjoyed your summer. Was it just us, or did it fly by this year? We had a wonderful group of volunteers representing FAN at the Farmers Market on August 27th. FAN's volunteers have been planning and working hard over the summer to get FAN's events ready for the fall, in between beach getaways, pool days, and fun days at the splash park.

Be sure to book a sitter now for our Welcome Back Party on September 17th. This is always a fun night out with good food and drinks from local businesses and a great way to catch up with friends new and old after the summer. This year, we will have a silent auction, including wine, jewelry, tutoring, concert tickets, personal chef services, and lots of other items to browse while you mingle. We would also love and welcome any items you might want to donate to help fund FAN's many events throughout the year.

• Check out our many age-based playgroups. We'll match you with peers for your kids and adult conversation for you. Our first playgroup Meet & Greet of the year will be on September 16th. (For the new kindergarteners -- did you find your classmates on BigTent? Some informal get-togethers were started late this summer.)


• Renewed your membership yet? FAN's 2011-2012 Best of Winchester Guide and Preschool Survey will be distributed to members soon.


• Fun for the kids: Mark your calendars for Families & Fire Trucks on September 25th and the popular Halloween parade, trick-or-treating, and party on October 29th.
