Borggaard Beach - Let's Make A Splash!

FAN is well on its way to enhance, beautify and revitalize Winchester's Borggaard Beach recreational area by making it a year round accessible facility that will help this to become a community gathering place for all Winchester residents.

Our project involves the installation of an automated, interactive splash park for our children utilizing water from an artesian water well that is already on the site!

The splash park would provide a low cost accessible recreational activity for families, defray the substantial loss the Town of Winchester incurs in the beach's operational costs, and help support our local economy by retaining residents' presence, and shopping dollars, within the community.

We also intend to install a barrier-free playground that would be specifically made for the way that children are naturally drawn to play and that is universally accessible so all can play at his or her own highest level of ability. Tennis courts are already located on this property, and room exists to erect a skating rink in the winter, making this a truly year-round recreational facility for all our families.
