Childrens' Programming

Each year, the Family Action Network holds several events for our children which quickly become the “talk of the town”. These events are mostly FREE for our members and include...

  • Families and Firetrucks – our own local firemen come to share their tools, trucks, and safety tips for a morning.

  • Indoor Exercise Event – A local children's gym shares their space with us for one chilly morning as we all try to escape the winter blues.

  • Music Event – a warm welcoming environment for trying some musical instruments such as the xylophone, saxophone, trombone, and drums. Perhaps you'll find your child interested in something you'd never have thought to introduce him/her to.

  • Valentines Craft – Join us at the library as we craft cards, boxes, and gifts for moms, dads grandparents, and our friends at the Jenks Center.

  • Town Day – a summer morning on the common and throughout the downtown area. Family oriented games are played, prizes won, and a good time had by all. Parents tell us their children often recall, upon passing the common, the cheerful family time spent here that morning.

FAN Parent Events

FAN Parent Events sponsors events geared towards parents' interests. Our signature event is the FAN preschool fair and survey. The preschool survey is a collection of detailed information on preschools in Winchester and the surrounding towns that parents' can use as a guide when navigating through preschool choices. We also host a preschool fair where parents can talk to other parent representatives from various preschools.

Parent Events is a fun way to get out of the house, meet new people and connect with your friends without the little ones around. Our past event list include book talks on best children's best books, Tricia McEvoy makeovers at Nordstrom, holiday cookie swaps and meeting up at Masa for tapas and drinks.

If you are looking for opportunity to meet more people in town and/or just have fun, come try out a parent event function.
